Director of Healthcare Marketing and New Business Development

Darrell Berman, B.S., is the director of healthcare marketing and new business development for Advocates for Human Potential’s (AHP’s) Healthcare Solutions division. Mr. Berman has more than 40 years of experience in the communications field, providing direction for large communications projects and designing and implementing strategies to leverage communications toward increasing awareness of the health care needs of vulnerable populations. In his career, he has managed new business development, account service, public relations campaigns, and production of media projects. At AHP, and as a founding partner of Berkshire Marketing Group and Point 44, Inc., Mr. Berman has served as a communications consultant to organizations of all sizes. As client relationship manager, Mr. Berman matches client needs with AHP’s broad bench of operational subject matter experts.

Mr. Berman has extensive experience with grassroots campaigns and advocacy in the disabilities and health care sectors. His marketing communications and brand-building expertise helped elevate a Sullivan County, New York, agency to one of the world’s most prestigious and securely funded service providers for children and adults with disabilities. His state advocacy campaign, Some Cuts Will Never Heal, helped to restore millions of dollars in funding to New York’s hospitals. Since joining AHP, Mr. Berman led the effort to conduct a workforce initiative for the country’s largest nonprofit disabilities services association. His advocacy experience offers disability service networks that are seeking to expand community integration efforts a passionate and proven champion. Mr. Berman has guest lectured on marketing and advertising at the University of Albany, State University of New York (SUNY) Oneonta, and Sage Colleges. He received his B.S. in communications from Ithaca College in New York.
