Dani Kirby, M.S., M.P.H., PMP, is a deputy business unit director in the Center for Training, Technical Assistance, and Consulting (CTTAC) at Advocates for Human Potential (AHP). In addition to initiating a project Management Office within the Center, she is serving as the corporate monitor for the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) in California. As former director of the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR), Ms. Kirby led Illinois’ response to the opioid epidemic, promoted a recovery-oriented system of care, and increased access to services. With an extensive background in behavioral health programs and management, Ms. Kirby has had oversight of expansive programs, grants, and federal projects, many of which focused on substance use disorders (SUDs) across the continuum of prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery. Her expertise includes adolescent treatment services, program development, change management, and strategic planning. Ms. Kirby has an M.S. in education from Northwestern University, and an M.P.H. in epidemiology from the University of Illinois Chicago and is certified as a Project Management Professional.
