Dr. Deme Hill Joins AHP as Principal Consultant

AHP is thrilled to announce that Deme Hill, D.P.A., M.A., has joined the company as the principal consultant, which will greatly benefit our national initiatives around housing and homelessness. For nearly 30 years, Dr. Hill has served U.S. communities in social services and government as an expert in the areas of criminal justice, behavioral health, housing, and homelessness.  
 
Dr. Hill is currently a state-appointed juvenile justice commissioner and has served on various community and government boards throughout her extensive career, including developing and maintaining partnerships with more than 300 organizations nationally. This work includes the creation and management of six advisory boards representing more than 100 agencies and businesses. Dr. Hill has done extensive work around youth homelessness and bridging gaps between child welfare and juvenile justice systems. 
 
Patrick Gauthier, managing director of Strategic Development at AHP, noted that “Dr. Hill brings a depth of experience to AHP that will reinvigorate our commitment to helping solve homelessness throughout the country. We are excited to have her join and are looking forward to developing new opportunities and partnerships.” 
 
Dr. Hill is known as a dedicated and charismatic community advocate. Her experience includes managing and facilitating government programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Department of Justice - Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, California Department(s) of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Department of Mental Health, Department of Social Services, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Labor, and U.S. Department of Agriculture.

AHP is deeply involved in finding solutions to America’s housing and homelessness challenges and serves as the administrative entity for multiple State of California projects related to housing/homelessness, behavioral health, substance use disorders, and crisis care.

The company has a long history of addressing homelessness in America and is building on current programs including California Behavioral Health Bridge Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing Technical Assistance in Virginia, along with past programs including the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Homeless and Housing Resource Network and the National Veterans' Technical Assistance Center funded by the U.S. Department of Labor.
