Deputy Project Director
Tammy E. Bernstein, M.P.A., PMP, deputy project director at AHP, is an experienced federal project manager with expertise in coordinating and providing training and TA in the areas of homelessness, housing, mental illness, substance use, and employment; conference and meeting planning; project and policy development and implementation; and research. Her responsibilities include budget analysis and review; oversight of project deliverables for contracts; and coordination, management, and administrative oversight for large projects within AHP’s TA Center.

Ms. Bernstein is also involved in the development of a variety of products and TA activities focused on issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. She has held key roles in several Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) projects, including serving as the project coordinator of the Homeless and Housing Resource Network (HHRN) (2011-present) and of the Services in Supportive Housing (SSH) project (2009-2011).

As the TA Center Operations Manager, Ms. Bernstein assists the Business Unit Directors to monitor, implement, and improve business processes for the TA Center, and provides assistance to TA Center Project Managers to access the information and tools needed to plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate project implementation. Ms. Bernstein received her M.P.A. from University of Colorado, Denver.
