Shanita Seamans, M.B.A., is senior program manager and California Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program planning grant lead at Advocates for Human Potential (AHP). She has more than 15 years’ experience in homeless services program design, implementation, and evaluation. Before joining AHP, Ms. Seamans was a senior program manager at Volunteers for America (VOA) in Los Angeles where she successfully implemented jail in-reach programs connecting individuals who are chronically homeless, dual diagnosed, and frequently incarcerated with permanent housing solutions. She served as an advocate for female veterans to external partners, including representing VOA at national, regional, and local meetings. She began her career as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. She also participated in the Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative, cultivating relationships with community groups, project stakeholders, and funding sources to maximize program outreach. She received her M.B.A. from Concordia University and her B.A. from Campbell University.
