Sara de Jesus is a program associate for Advocates for Human Potential (AHP). She has more than 12 years of experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and government agencies in Texas, California, and New York, primarily focused on behavioral health, crisis management, refugee resettlement, and trauma-informed care. Driven by a strong commitment to social justice, she works to ensure equal opportunities for those in critical situations and believes in the transformative power of access to quality care and support systems.
Ms. de Jesus is a certified financial coach, community health worker, and Mental Health First Aid instructor. She actively promotes holistic well-being and resilience in her community. She holds a B.S. in sociology from the University of Houston and a Forced Migration Studies Certificate from the University of Oxford.
