Robert Stromberg, M.I.S.

Senior Program Manager
Robert Stromberg, M.I.S., is a senior program manager at Advocates for Human Potential (AHP), serving as an implementation specialist supporting the California Community Care Expansion (CCE) and Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Projects (BHCIP). He has more than 20 years of professional experience, including leadership of a network of advocates for new policy, financing, and supportive and deeply affordable housing to support efforts by the Santa Clara County Continuum of Care to meet the goals of the Community Plan to End Homelessness. Previous work experience has included organizational development, technical assistance and capacity building, communications, grants, and program management.
 
Before joining AHP, Mr. Stromberg led policy advocacy in support of Destination: Home’s mission to end and prevent homelessness. As a consultant and with the National Democratic Institute, he supported democratic development by working with citizen groups and political parties struggling for civil, political, and human rights in North Korea, Pakistan, and Venezuela. In North Carolina, Mr. Stromberg worked as a community organizer for Barack Obama's first presidential election campaign, founded and directed the Durham Association for Downtown Arts, and taught in the public schools. He holds a B.A. in religious studies from Duke University, and a Master of International Studies from the North Carolina State University School of Public and International Affairs. He speaks German and Spanish fluently.
