Melodie Pazolt

Melodie J. Pazolt has more than 35 years’ experience in community rehabilitation with both people with behavioral health issues and people with developmental disabilities. She has operated numerous federal, state and county grants/contracts in conjunction with direct services to consumers of mental health services, in addition to managing the activities of a core mental health funded employment program. She was the associate director of Columbia River Mental Health Services, supervising over 30 full-time staff.  Programs included supported employment programs; welfare to work programs; and vocational rehabilitation and workforce development activities for individuals with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities.

Ms. Pazolt was the Recovery Support Services Section Manager at the Washington State Health Care Authority – Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery where she provided oversight of all recovery support services, homeless outreach, supportive housing, supported employment, recovery residences, medical respite and peer respite initiatives, as well as multiple projects associated with the forensic mental health system. She implemented multiple projects that included people with lived experience including oversight of the state peer certification credentialing program. She brings not only an understanding of the issues that face individuals with behavioral health challenges, but also an overall understanding of the various systems that may be involved in that person’s life.
