Senior Research Associate II
Lauren Pass, M.P.H., is a senior research associate II at Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP), where she supports research for the U.S. Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and the Illinois State Opioid Response (SOR). Previously, Ms. Pass was a research associate at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, where she led a research study examining barriers and facilitators to treatment of anxiety and depression with comorbid cardiovascular disease for rural patients. She has also served as a research assistant with the Iowa Cancer Consortium and Department of Community and Behavioral Health at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. She is experienced in qualitative research methods, ethnographic field methods, community-based participatory research (CBPR), community engagement, survey design, interviewing and focus groups, intervention research and planning, event organizing, small grant authorship, institutional review board (IRB) and ethical review board submission, designing and writing toolkits for healthcare providers, and medical record transcription (Epic, Centricity, Allscripts, Powerchart, etc.). She has worked with populations that include the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with chronic illnesses, rural populations, people with mental illnesses, and rural and aging populations. Ms. Pass received her M.P.H. in community and behavioral health from the University of Iowa College of Public Health.
