Kurt Schweigman, M.P.H., is a Senior Program Manager – Tribal Behavioral Health Program Development for Advocates for Human Potential’s (AHP’s) behavioral health projects in California. Mr. Schweigman has been working in American Indian public health and supportive services for more than 30 years. He formally worked for both the California and the Northwest Area Indian Health Boards. He has managed various behavioral wellness and participatory research programs that optimize the health and well-being of Native Americans within California. Mr. Schweigman received his Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology, from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His American Indian tribal affiliation is Oglala/Sicangu Lakota, and he is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
