Kayla Brown, Ph.D.

Senior Analyst/Statistician
Kayla Brown, Ph.D., is a senior analyst/statistician at Advocates for Human Potential’s (AHP) Center for Research and Evaluation. Dr. Brown’s prior work and expertise focused on the novel application of statistical models to child welfare administrative data, as well as parent-child interactions. Her quantitative expertise includes person-centered modeling, multilevel time series (both micro and macro time), and various machine learning techniques. She has worked primarily with families, including those involved with child welfare. Dr. Brown also has experience in the translation of research to impact policy. In addition to using statistical modeling techniques, she has expertise in the automation of data management and processing of large datasets. Dr. Brown received her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from The Pennsylvania State University.
