Jane Tunay, M.P.H., M.S.W. is a senior business development associate for Advocates for Human Potential (AHP). She supports the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal Providing Access and Transforming Health Technical Assistance Marketplace to improve client relationships and engagement. Prior to joining AHP, Ms. Tunay worked for one of the Medi-Cal managed care health plans in California where she oversaw the relationship among 31 contracted County Public Health departments. She met quarterly with program managers and directors to discuss the provision of services as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the health plan and the county. She organized and co-facilitated the quarterly Public Policy Committee meetings made up of health plan staff, health care professionals, and health plan members to help shape the programs and services received by health plan members.
Ms. Tunay also worked for a nonprofit organization that served as a regional contractor for a statewide program that focused on improving women’s health. She served 13 counties surrounding the Sacramento region and worked with culturally diverse communities. Ms. Tunay has experience working with Medicaid managed care organizations, County Public Health Departments, behavioral health Departments, community-based organizations, and faith-based organizations. Ms. Tunay has an M.P.H. and M.S.W. degree from San Diego State University with a focus in health services administration and social work administration.
