Geoff Henderson, M.S.

Senior Program Manager II – Project Director
Geoff Henderson, M.S., is a senior program manager II - project director for Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) and its California projects. Mr. Henderson has more than 30 years of experience in the human services industry- behavioral health, corrections, and special education areas. He is skilled in organizational leadership, program design, program development, and program evaluation. He  also enjoys community advocacy.
 
Mr. Henderson was previously a manager for a large sheriff's department, responsible for all jail in-custody programs, services, and reentry. He also served as a board member for the California Jail Programs Association (CJPA). Mr. Henderson has led several community leadership activities in the counties of Orange, Los Angeles, and Ventura; these include leadership functions on three reentry coalition steering committees: the Chairman of the Orange County Re-Entry Partnership (OCREP), the Los Angeles Reentry Partnership (LARRP) and the Ventura Reentry Coalition. 
 
Mr. Henderson has proven skills in program development and business development across a wide spectrum of program types, services, and age groups. These range from social services wraparound, residential and outpatient models, transitional and supportive housing to county jail and prison in-custody addiction treatment, recovery maintenance services, and more.
 
Mr. Henderson has served as an instructor at many levels of education including junior and high school special education and community college. He taught in the Human Services Occcuptional Certificate Programs for counselors and has frequently been a guest lecturer and trainer at regional conferences and numerous organizations. He holds an M.S. in education with a concentration in special education from California State University, Fullerton, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Fullerton. He is currently a doctoral candidate in management and organizational leadership at University of Phoenix.
