Derek O'Neal, M.S.W., is a staff consultant at Advocates for Human Potential (AHP). He is a State of Illinois Licensed Master Social Worker and an Illinois Certification Board Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with a Co-Occurring Disorder Professional endorsement. Prior to joining AHP, Mr. O'Neal worked for the Cook County Sheriff's Office managing community-based programs. He brings to AHP his experience and knowledge of substance use disorders, opioid use disorder, co-occurring disorders, and social work to help support the ongoing efforts to address societal concerns. Mr. O'Neal received his M.S.W. degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
