Cklara Moradian, M.S.W., LCSW

Senior Program Associate
Cklara Moradian, M.S.W., LCSW, is a senior program associate for Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) and is currently working on the California Behavioral Health Workforce Development projects. Ms. Moradian is a fully licensed clinical social worker in the state of California and brings more than a decade of experience in education, healthcare, and human services as both a direct service provider and as a change agent developing and improving systems of care. Her skillset includes intersectionality-based policy analysis, program development, training, and change management. Ms. Moradian has completed extensive healthcare leadership development training and work experience at one of the country's leading pediatric hospitals, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Ms. Moradian's praxis is informed by anti-oppressive and liberatory frameworks, and she has dedicated her life to empowering adolescents and young adults from historically oppressed and intentionally marginalized communities. She has also been involved in a large Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded project supporting school districts nationwide to create safe and supportive learning environments for young people struggling with the impact of Covid-19. Prior to social work, Ms. Moradian worked in community organizing and non-governmental organizations uplifting refugee resettlement efforts, specifically those impacted by war and displacement in the Middle East and North Africa region. Ms. Moradian is herself a former child refugee and her lived experiences give her a global perspective on social impact efforts. 
 
Ms. Moradian is a servant leader with an active role in the leadership of National Association of Social Workers – CA Chapter, and she is also a disability justice and healing justice advocate. She has an undergraduate degree in pre-law and legal studies from National University and a Master of Social Work degree from California State University Northridge, where she received the highest leadership award for spearheading innovative health access projects.
