Amy Ashley, M.L.S., is a senior writer at Advocates for Human Potential (AHP). She has extensive experience as an academic science writer and proposal development specialist focused entirely on social and human services research, policy, funding, and technical assistance. In her 22-year career she has developed and written hundreds of federal and foundation grants that have resulted in sustainable improvement to the fields of health care integration and reform, treatment for substance abuse and mental health disorders, and practitioner professional development and training. She has also written and co-authored policy papers, technical assistance manuals, case studies, white papers, strategic plans, programmatic evaluations, and curriculum for Arizona Department of Health Services, Arizona State University’s College of Public Programs, and the University of Arizona School of Medicine.
 
An active volunteer, Ms. Ashley has written pro bono for hospitals and relief efforts in crisis-stricken areas of the Caribbean, Central, and South America. She received her master’s degree in nonfiction writing, and Bachelor of Science in geography from Arizona State University.
