Mackenzie Slade, B.A., is a business unit and project manager for Healthcare Solutions at Advocates for Human Potential (AHP). Ms. Slade manages projects all over the United States with private and government entities seeking subject matter consultation, strategic planning, and implementation support. She has extensive healthcare-specific project management experience, with previous roles including project manager of numerous state and federal health policy initiatives. Her core competencies are project management, Microsoft Project planning, communication, and strategic planning. 

Ms. Slade was the sole portfolio manager and revenue cycle consultant for the national implementation of various clinical documentation improvement projects for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Reporting to the Deputy Undersecretary for Health, Ms. Slade led the revenue transformation team to a successful implementation of numerous process improvements, the execution of identified best practices, and the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to more than 1,000 sites of care. She assisted with the engineering of the VHA’s only provider-generated revenue dashboard, monitoring and evaluating third-party revenue generated by individual providers. Ms. Slade was instrumental in bringing a variety of providers, medical coders, and health information management professionals into the development of a clinical documentation templates that monitor documentation accuracy. This was among the first few instances within the VHA when these stakeholders had been brought together for the discussion of healthcare financial management. Predating her time as a government contractor, Ms. Slade provided consultation and research assistance to the leading reproductive health nonprofit in South Carolina, where she managed several proposed bills into a successful legislative session. She received her B.A. in public health from University of South Carolina, Columbia.
