Laura Ware provides technical assistance and training and develops materials for employment, housing, and mental health programs in numerous states and cities, including designated sites for the U.S. Department of Labor/Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) Demonstration Project, “Ending Chronic Homelessness through Housing and Employment.” Ms. Ware has more than 25 years of experience in rehabilitation and treatment services, supportive housing, case management, homeless assistance services, and employment programs. Ms. Ware has developed Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-financed housing, services and employment programs, including numerous collaborations; directed mental health, case management, training and employment service programs; and developed public policy and community initiatives that improved and increased access to diverse affordable housing and job opportunities for low-income and homeless people. Ms. Ware is a co-founder of a community-development corporation called the Community Housing Partnership in San Francisco, and she has extensive experience with community planning processes, creating community-wide hiring plans, and integrating job creation into housing development. Her recent technical assistance activities have focused on capacity building, fund development strategies, community education and public relations, and program development.
