Pat Tucker works with the “Ending Chronic Homelessness through Housing and Employment” Initiative (CHETA), funded by the US Department of Labor/Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, with primary responsibility for the San Francisco “Hope House” project and Boston’s “HomeWork Initiative”. In addition, she is providing technical assistance and training programs for organizations in Detroit that supply supported employment services to people with severe disabilities. Ms. Tucker develops and delivers training programs, provides technical assistance and group facilitation for line staff and program managers, and teaches “Introduction to Property Management of Affordable and Supportive Housing” at Wright College in Chicago. Before joining AHP, Ms. Tucker spent more than 20 years working in all levels of the supportive housing industry and was instrumental in developing programs and taking the “blended management” model to an operational level. She is intimately familiar with operations in the property management, social services, and employment divisions of supportive housing, and most recently served in a senior management capacity that required a visionary, ‘big picture’ approach in addition to managing daily operations. She has extensive experience in researching, assessing, and establishing relationships with community funding sources that has made it possible to develop innovative programming within various organizations. Her background includes experience at Mercy Housing, Lakefront SRO, Century Place Development Corporation, Renaissance Collaborative, National Church Residences, Windows of Opportunity (Chicago Housing Authority non- profit), and Community Counseling Centers of Chicago.
