REBECCA MORRIS, M.P.A. Director of Communications Rebecca Morris coordinates significant communications initiatives, and has lead responsibility for writing, editing, and production of print, web, and other electronic content, while also supporting AHP’s business development efforts. Ms. Morris has written and edited a wide variety of monographs, working papers, briefings, conference documentation, and other reports for agencies and organizations such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Harvard Business School, and The Medical Foundation. In particular, she has written extensively about health care topics, including substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorders; the relationships between these disorders and the criminal justice system; elder abuse and neglect; crime prevention; community development; youth development; and effective conceptual tools and practices for addressing these issues, such as community partnerships, electronic communities, data-based advocacy, systems integration, and performance measurement. Ms. Morris is especially adept at integrating information from numerous sources with different credentials and points of view, and from different backgrounds and contexts. Before joining AHP, Ms. Morris was founder and president of Gallais Communications and its conference unit, Conference Reports & Internet Services, which provided editorial services, conference reporting, and communications consulting. Ms. Morris also is founder and president of the National Lipedema Association, and a former board member of the Lymphatic Research Foundation. She has served as a faculty member, convener, and/or presenter at symposia and conferences about lymphatic clinical and policy issues.
