Educational Consultant
amatlack@ahpnet.com

Allison Matlack’s professional life has been devoted to working with independent school students and helping them to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.  At AHP, Ms. Matlack works with younger students to help them choose independent schools, both day and boarding, and also with older students planning for college. Before coming to AHP, she taught English at Westtown School in Westtown, Pennsylvania, where she also served as dormitory head, swim coach, Associate Dean of Students, and college counselor.  In her work as a college counselor, she especially enjoyed helping students to define their abilities and passions and make solid choices about their educational futures.  Since moving to the Boston area, Ms. Matlack has taught Freshman Composition at a local college and Social Psychology at the Phillips Academy Summer Session.  She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Bates College and received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University.
