mmansfield@ahpnet.com
Mary Mansfield specializes in working with students with learning differences as well as with at-risk teens. As part of the AHP team, she also assists with independent school and college-bound students. Her own love of riding has led to extensive knowledge of equestrian programs and equine therapy, and her desire to make the very best recommendations inspires her commitment to visiting as many therapeutic and special needs programs as possible. Mary has more than 20 years of experience in college admissions and independent consulting. She worked for nine years in the Admissions Office at Wheelock College, serving as the Director of Admissions from 1993 to 1995. Prior to her work in admissions, Mary was a career consultant for a career counseling firm in Boston. She has been a reading consultant, a reading specialist in a school for children with special needs, and an elementary school teacher. She graduated from Wheelock College with a degree in Elementary Education, and received a Master of Education in Psychology of Reading from Temple University. A Certified Educational Planner, Mary is also a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association and National Association for College Admission Counseling.
