ANDREA J. BRACKEN, J.D. Contracts Manager Andrea Bracken has significant experience in negotiating and monitoring the progress of governmental and commercial contracts, and is currently the Contracts Manager for AHP. Ms. Bracken has responsibility for a variety of functions, including administration of all corporate contracts and grants, monitoring of contract compliance, GSA Schedule sales reporting, assistance in statutory research, review and preparation of legal documents and correspondence, record maintenance, proposal preparation and coordination, meeting logistics and planning, and development of company policy in compliance with Federal Travel Regulations. She is directly responsible for developing and issuing all consulting agreements to meet particular project requirements and limitations, and has developed various electronic procedures for AHP to streamline the contracting process. Ms. Bracken has staffed a number of AHP projects, including the New Freedom Initiative: State Coalitions to Promote Community-Based Care (NFI) project, where she served as Project Coordinator and contributed to the development of the financial/progress reporting process for the funding of annual stipends to participating states/territories. Prior to joining AHP, Ms. Bracken practiced law in the areas of Business and Corporate Law/Litigation, Guardianships, Estates and Trusts, and Real Estate. She has served as a court-appointed fiduciary for elderly people, people with serious mental illnesses, and people with handicaps; a Volunteer Arbitrator; a Referee and Hearing Officer; and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant reviewer. Ms. Bracken also was an Adjunct Instructor for the paralegal programs at Adelphi University, Garden City, NY and Mildred Elley College, Albany, NY.
