Tammy Bernstein is an experienced federal project manager with expertise in conference and meeting planning, training, and project and policy development and implementation.  Ms. Bernstein works across several federally-funded projects.  She conducts site visits to new grantees of the Co-Occurring Homeless Activities Branch (CHAB) in the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), assists in the development of an annual “grantee notebook” for CHAB, and assists with the planning and implementation of the annual Treatment for the Homeless Technical Assistance Workshops. Ms. Bernstein also was part of the team that developed curricula on co-occurring disorders for the Robert Wood Johnson Addiction Treatment Center.  She is developing technical assistance materials related to employment, mental health, and permanent housing for people who are homeless, which will be part of the Homelessness Research Exchange (Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)).  She also works on the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) Office of Disability Employment Policy/HUD Chronic Homelessness Employment Technical Assistance Center (CHETA) and coordinated a 2-day Tenant Leadership Training for the Indianapolis CHETA site.
