Sarah André conducts research and analysis in support of product development (guidebooks and lectures) for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other clients. She provides technical assistance and training in the areas of housing, homelessness and community collaboration on multiple contracts. Ms. André has more than 12 years experience in the affordable housing and community development field. Before joining AHP, she worked for Diana McIver & Associates and The Enterprise Foundation, and she has held various positions in which she provided training and technical assistance to nonprofits on topics such as Fair Housing, Universal Design, “Development 101”, funding for housing projects and the role of non profit boards. Ms. André has significant experience with affordable housing finance and project management, including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, HOME, CDBG, PATH and CHAB programs. She also is the author of numerous studies related to affordable housing. Specific topics for these studies have included impediments to Fair Housing, housing resources for persons with disabilities, project feasibility, workforce housing, and affordable housing in transit oriented design districts.
