Amanda Aykanian provides support to AHP's Center for Research and Evaluation and works across several federally-funded projects including evaluations for two CSAT/CMHS-funded Addictions Treatment for Homeless programs serving women experiencing homelessness; evaluations for two CSAT-funded adolescent projects providing evidence-based treatment to teens with substance abuse issues; and for a NIJ-funded research project concerning elder abuse. Ms. Aykanian's work includes cleaning and entering data, tracking longitudinal study participants, conducting literature searches, assisting with proposal development activities, and providing general administrative support. She recently graduated Cum Laude from Framingham State College earning a B.A. in Developmental Psychology with a concentration in experimental research theory and application. Her senior thesis examined the impact teaching style has on college students’ retention and overall satisfaction with course material and presentation format. She recently presented this research at the 13th Annual Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference and submitted the manuscript for publication in the Framingham State College Journal of Behavioral Sciences.
