TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING

AHP provides technical assistance
(TA) and training to help federal agencies, states, communities, providers,
and consumers implement best practices in community integration for people
with serious mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders and for
people who are homeless. For example:

AHP provides TA to national and statewide coalitions to promote
community-based care for adults and children with psychiatric disabilities.

AHP provides TA and training to programs that serve people with
serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders who
are homeless. Training activities include national teleconference calls
with a Web-based simulcast.
- AHP staff develop and present TA and training on recovery and
rehabilitation, supported employment, and supported housing for people
with serious mental illnesses, including those who are homeless.
