The Treatment Improvement Exchange (TIE)
The Treatment Improvement Exchange (TIE) is a resource sponsored
by the Division of State and Community Assistance in the federal Center
for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) to exchange information with state
and local alcohol and substance abuse agencies. CSAT has contracted
with
AHP to:
-
manage the TIE Forum Web site (www.treatment.org);
-
identify consultants and arrange for technical assistance to state
substance abuse agencies;
-
write and disseminate the TIE Communiqué, which comments on
current issues in the substance abuse field;
-
plan, organize, and conduct regional workshops on CSAT-directed themes;
and
- coordinate the State Systems Development Program (SSDP) conference
that is designed to share recent findings on alcohol and other
drug treatment
issues.
