MENTAL HEALTH TRANSFORMATION TA Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grant TA Broker/Advisor To foster and accelerate the transformation of mental health services, AHP worked in close collaboration with government project officers known as Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) Connectors on Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grants (MHT SIG) between January and July, 2006. AHP brokered requests for TA by helping CMHS grantees to determine their TA needs and providing information about the range of available TA resources. AHP also developed a database to track TA requests and deliverables. Since August, 2006, AHP has served as Transformation Advisor to MHT SIG Connectors, the State MHT SIG Project Director, and CMHS Leadership about mental health system transformation. In this role, AHP advises MHT SIG about special projects upon the request of CMHS Leadership, and engages in one-on-one consultation with Connectors on cross cutting issues, such as financial sustainability; consumer, family, and youth involvement, and cultural competency. AHP also participates in monthly Group Conference Calls between Connectors and Transformation Advisors, develops a joint GPO/Transformation advisor monthly report of findings about state mental health transformation progress, and conducts site visits when necessary.
