ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORDS Massachusetts Community Health Centers Adoption of Electronic Health Records AHP is developing and implementing a state-wide strategy that will enable all Massachusetts Community Health Centers to implement electronic health records systems. These systems will provide all CHC patients with electronic health records; provide decision support to providers that improve quality of care and services; integrate all CHC primary and behavioral health service records; and integrate data to enable centralized and meaningful reporting. AHP is working at the state level with the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers as well as with the individual health centers to select, plan, test, and implement the HER systems. The process includes assessing organizational and system readiness for change, conducting a thorough needs analysis, supporting a strategic planning process, supporting vendor selection, and providing project management.
