VIOLENCE AND VICTIMIZATION: RESEARCH IMPLICATIONS Implications of Violence and Victimization Research for Criminal Justice Practitioners The National Institute of Justice, the research arm of the United States Justice Department, turned to AHP to review relevant violence and victimization research to develop a monograph on the research’s practical implication for criminal justice professionals, including law enforcement, prosecutors and judges. Currently under development, the monograph will be reviewed by a national panel of expert practitioners in the field. The project is designed to ensure that practitioners are not only aware of the relevant research in their areas, but the implications of the research for their day to day practice and policies.
