AHP Continuing Education Program Policy

Program Fees Advocates for Human Potential, Inc., (AHP) currently does not charge program fees for continuing education 
programs and associated credit hours administered through contracts. 

Cancellations 
Cancellations are accepted at any time before all events.  

Review and Resolution of Participant Complaints 
Advocates for Human Potential, Inc., (AHP) complies with all requirements of the National Board of Certified 
Counselors (NBCC) and National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), as well as 
federal, state, and other agencies under which we are contracted in the development and administration of our
educational activities. Compliance with this policy is overseen by Richard Landis, LCSW. 

If you have a complaint regarding an educational program, presenter, staff, or another element of AHP’s educational 
programming, please email rlandis@ahpnet.com  with the nature of your complaint and details regarding the course 
date, title, presenter, and any other relevant information. Please indicate in the subject line that you are issuing a complaint. You may also call 240-912-3842 to submit a complaint. In your complaint, please specify if there is action you wish to see taken to rectify the situation(e.g., supply alternate material to accommodate a disability or change an incorrect or inaccurate reference or citation). This should not be interpreted as a guarantee that action will be taken.

Complainants will receive a confirmation email within two days that the complaint has been received and 
processed. All complaints will remain anonymous unless the complainant requests otherwise. All complaints 
will be used as part of an ongoing quality assurance process. All complaints regarding NBCC approved 
activities, including all related written communications and materials, will be provided to NBCC within 60 days 
of knowledge of the complaint.
