Lisa Braude, Ph.D.
Senior Research Associate
Lisa Braude has worked on numerous initiatives to identify, implement and evaluate evidence-based practices within criminal justice and health and human services agencies. At AHP, her current work bridges research and evaluation and technical assistance activities related to addressing the health and behavioral health issues of criminal justice populations. She was formerly the Assistant Director for Research and Analysis at the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA), where she directed the statewide criminal justice strategic plan and managed program evaluation and public policy projects. Prior to this position, she was a Senior Policy Advisor at the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and the Research and Policy Director at TASC in Illinois. Dr. Braude holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from The George Washington University. Her professional interests include needs assessment and strategic planning, program evaluation, policy implementation, fidelity to evidence-based strategies, and the translation of research findings into more effective and efficient public policy and practice.
