Technical Assistance to the Co-occurring and Homeless Activities Branch
(CHAB)
The Co-occurring and Homeless Activities Branch (CHAB) in the federal
Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) administers a diverse portfolio
of grant programs and contracts designed to build substance abuse treatment
capacity and address homelessness among people with substance use disorders
and/or co-occurring mental disorders. Under contract to Johnson, Bassin & Shaw,
Inc. (JBS), AHP helps CHAB grantees address the unmet and emerging needs
of communities for substance abuse treatment and bridge the gap between
research and practice in substance abuse treatment for vulnerable groups.
Specifically, AHP assists with site visits, technical assistance, report
analysis, resource management, information exchange, product development,
and meetings and conferences.
